School Lunches
School lunches at Barkisland are delicious!
Our school lunches are cooked fresh on site each day by our amazing kitchen team, using fresh and locally sourced ingredients. 
School lunches cost £2.50 per day and are payable fortnightly in advance via School Spider.
Children have the choice of 2 hot main course options each day, alongside the choice of jacket potatoes, sandwiches, baguettes or wraps with varying fillings. There are a number of dessert options to choose from also.
Children from Year 3 to Year 6 choose their own meal choices each fortnight in school.
Menu choices are sent out via an electronic form for parents and carers to choose meal choice for children in Nursery to Year 2.
We cater for children with special dietary requirements, making necessary adjustments. We are also a nut free school.
Children can choose to bring in their own packed lunch from home each day and we ask that these follow the healthy lunchbox guidance: https://www.nhs.uk/healthier-families/recipes/healthier-lunchboxes/
Children wishing to swap from packed lunches to school lunches or vice -versa, must notify the school office 2 weeks in advance.
