Class: Year 1 Year: 2022 - 2023
Year 1 tested four different materials to see if they were waterproof. We found that paper and fabric were not waterproof and plastic and metal were! We decided that plastic would be the best material to use to make an umbrella.
We learned how to use pipettes to put drops of water onto each material. We put 20 drops onto each material and carefully observed to see what happened to the water.

Thank you to all members of our community who took the time to complete our recent surveys. We conducted three separate ones; a Nursery survey, a Reception survey and one for Years 1 to 6. Overall, there was a 63% response rate.
Feedback is very helpful to allow us to adjust and make changes as needed. It is really pleasing to see that overall the feedback is very positive. The areas highlighted are aspects to further develop these will be considered and applied where appropriate.
